USD 108 Parents:
All students in grades 3 through 8 and once in high school are required to take state and federal mandated assessments in reading and math each year.  Science state assessments in grades 4, 7, high school life science, and high school physical science are also state and federally mandated to be taken each year.  History/Government assessments are required by the state in grades 6, 8, high school U.S. focus, and high school world focus on even years.  The dates these assessments will be given this year are listed in the table above.  Please be sure your student gets plenty of rest the night before each assessment and eats a good breakfast that morning.  We also ask that you try to avoid making appointments for your student on these dates if at possible.

You are entitled to all of your child’s state assessment results.  The results are usually not official until the following September.  If the state releases preliminary results before final grade cards go out in May, your child’s results will be sent at that time.  If they are not released by then, the results will be given out during Fall Parent-Teacher conferences.  If you do not attend the parent-teacher conferences, your child’s results will be mailed to you.
