At the Monday, April 11 Board of Education meeting, the BOE approved releasing all students at 11:30 on Thursday, May 19. No lunch will be served.
This decision was made because Washington County has been chosen to host Regional track on May 19. This will involve 29 teams with spectators, workers, and student-athletes in our track area with a start time of 1:00 pm. It will be to our advantage to release our own students prior to this many visitors arriving.
High Schools attending are Axtell, Beloit-St. John's, Burlingame, Canton-Galva, Centralia, Clifton Clyde, Doniphan West, Downs-Lakeside, Frankfort, Glasco, Hanover, Hope, Junction City-St. Xavier, Lincoln, Linn, Lost Springs-Centre, Mankato-Rock Hills, Miltonvale, Onaga, Randolph-Blue Valley, Scandia-Pike Valley, Solomon, Tescott, Tipton Catholic, Troy, Wakefield, Wetmore, White City, and Washington County.
