The high school volleyball team had an okay day today at the Axtell Tournament. We went 1-4 on the day, but our four losses were to Johnson-Brock, Nebraska, Axtell, and to Valley Heights twice. We beat Valley Heights one set in the first match of the day which in no small feat! And we picked up a win vs Frankfort in 3 sets. Very proud of the girls for their efforts this week! Thanks to all who came over and cheered us on!

We fell to Lincoln 56 - 6 in 3 quarters. We played a competitive game for three quarters though the score does not reflect the effort that the boys poured out on the field. They demonstrated grit fighting until the end. We will be returning to practice to clean up some basics and look forward to playing Clifton Clyde next Friday night. We appreciate the crowds enthusiasm and support..

These students worked hard the last few days on the front entrance. Big THANK YOU to Ethan Schuette for cutting out and donating our paws and to these kids who spent hours powerwashing, designing and painting! It's always great to see students give back to the school to help make improvements!

Our JH Tiger XC team had their second meet in just 4 days. They ran hard and represented themselves and the Tigers very well today at Nemaha Central. At this time, I don't have times from today but I have placings. I'm hoping to get times because they all ran hard! JH Football lost to Linn 56-6. It was our best night football this season. We'll keep working to get better!

🔴 A Team: lost in two sets.
⚫ B Team: battled hard and came out on top in three sets!
🔴 C Team: had the opportunity to play one set, coming up short.

JH Volleyball at Republic County Jr/Sr High School Saturday, September 27th, 2025.

We will play in the red pool in the new gym.

Schedule:
Match 1 @ 9:00 am - Washington vs. Minneapolis
Match 4 - Thayer Central vs. Washington
Match 6 - Beloit vs. Washington

Matches will begin 10 minutes after the completion of the preceding match.

Championship and consolation games will start 10 minutes after the completion of pool play, if possible.

FBLA's Tiger Designs has mystery bags up for grabs. Each mystery bag contains 3 nonsport Tiger themed shirts. Each bag is $20 and can be picked up by contacting Mrs. Bruna or at the Homecoming game on Friday night. To purchase, the first person to email mbruna@usd108.org with the Bag# of their choice, gets the bag.

The Super Food Science Project tried their first formula with focus group assessments. Groups are currently taking the feedback and revising their formulas for a second test.

All JH and HS art students have an online portfolio through Artsonia! 7th grade and new students: you should have received an email today from the site inviting you to join and give permission for your student’s work to be displayed.

Once you’ve joined, you can:
✅ Invite other family and friends to view your student’s artwork and leave encouraging comments.
✅ Purchase fun keepsakes featuring your student’s art (I especially love the Christmas ornaments!)—10% of every purchase comes back to the art room.
