Parents of 7th grade boys: their homework tonight is to teach you the skills they learned today about sorting in spreadsheets and text to columns. It should be quick but it will help them remember the skill by teaching someone else & you will possibly learn something new.

The USD 108 physics students used their knowledge of kinematic equations and extensive brainstorming to develop a launcher lab procedure. Then they used calculations to predict how far the projectile would travel from 30 degrees, 45 degrees, and 60 degrees. Their predictions were extremely accurate. Well done, students!

Unfortunately, I have heard several people call this upcoming game the Loser Bowl or worse. I purpose we change that type of thinking as our team has literally put in lots of blood, sweat, broken bones and tears into this season. Come join us for the FUTURE BOWL! this Thursday @ 6pm and wear your costume. Let's make it a spooktacular football Thursday.

Our tiger xc boys team showed their grit and determination today. They competed in the biggest 1A regional on a tough course and didn't back down. We didn't have any state qualifiers today, but these boys have skills and character traits they have learned and displayed that will make them successful in life! Atticus ran with a bad cold and was 25th. Garrison got tripped up but persevered and finished 44th. Lucas pushed hard and had a good finish. He ended 62nd. Garrett ran hard and held off a runner in his finish. He finished 71st. Graduating are 2 seniors that have ran countless miles in practice and meets, have proven to themselves just how strong mentally and physically they are. Garrison and Garrett, thank you for your dedication and leadership!

Last night the Marching Tigers displayed a show we hope to build on and create a school tradition from. I am so proud of all our students the past few months. This show is something I have always wanted to put together but last night as we were playing our final chords and the fireworks started I was so overwhelmed with gratitude. I did something I thought I would never do, but I am so glad I did. The first two photos are what I saw from the directors podium. This community showed up last night. They showed up to support Athletes(who continue to show up...and boys I want you to know that takes guts, keep showing up...keep working...keep going...don't quit). They showed up for our Youth(coaches that was awesome seeing you and your kids announcing themselves, public speaking is a seriously useful skill). And you showed up for our Senior Athletes...those Cross Country Runners...I couldn't and wouldn't want to do what they do every day...and they do it with a smile! These kids have given 4 years of blood, sweat, and tears representing us. And finally you showed up for Our Musicians. The number of "fans" that USD 108 has moves me to tears each and every week. Thank you for all your support and the continued encouragement you give to the kids. If you see a Football boy this week tell them you are proud of them for showing up. Give them encouragement! If you see a Cross Country Runner this week offer them a snack! Preferably filled with Protein and Carbs! If you see a Senior thank them for representing Washington County. If you see a musician tell them what your favorite moment of the show was...or give them a song request. But more importantly if you see a Tiger Student tell them how proud you are to be from this community and that they are part of something bigger than just one person. I would love to Pack the House next Thursday to show the students just how many people are supporting them. No matter what activity they choose. No matter what the score is. No matter what day of the week. And no matter what the calendar says. PS the band director will have candy for anyone who shows up in a costume! Thank you again for all your support. Let's have one more Amazing Night and come out and Cheer on the Tigers
