Preschool celebrated Fire Safety Month with a trip to fhe fire station! We learned ways to stay safe, the tools used to fight fires, and not to be afraid of firemen in their protective gear! Thanks, Justin (and bus drivers! That was another highlight of the trip)!

The 8th Grade Kansas History class was tasked with creating a new state seal and motto for Kansas. The kids did a great job of showing their creative side with this project! #betigerstrong

Our high school boys all ran very well today at Riley on a chilly morning, a hilly course, and in a field of 129 runners. Brody medaled at 24th and a season best of 19:00, Garrison was 52nd with 20:18, Tucker was 70th with 21:20, Lucas was 79th with 22:02, Ryan was 84th with 22:46, Garrett was 100th with 22:48. Atticus is still injured. Most of the boys ran a faster time today than last year!

Our high school girls competed very well today at the Riley XC meet. In a field of 92 runners and a field of many larger schools our girls represented WC in a very positive manner. Kenzie medaled and was the first 1A girl across the line at 20th and a time of 22:24, Kiersten was 34th with a time of 24:12, Charley was 77th with a PR of 33:30. MaKenna ran very strong for 2.5 miles but then slipped on a steep hill and wasn't able to finish.

Our junior high xc runners ran very fast races today. This is the biggest meet we compete in and Riley has some major hills. On the boys side there were 85 runners. Emery was 61st with 15:16, Lyle was 67th with 16:08, and Coy was 77th with 18:01. On the girls side out of 63 runners, Nora was 20th with 15:14, Madison was 30th with 15:59, Bella was 39th with 16:53, Libby was 55th with 19:03, and Janessa was 60th with 21:46. Their xc season will conclude on Tuesday as Blue Valley will host our BVL race.
