Congratulations to Grace Otott and Alyssa Kern on earning their American FFA Degree this fall at the National FFA Convention! The American Degree is the highest degree that an FFA member can achieve. Although neither were able to attend the National Convention this year in person, their awards arrived this week here at the high school. We are proud to recognize their accomplishments throughout their FFA experience, which has led to this final honor for each of them as FFA members. Congratulations to both of you and your parents!

This evening, Kady Toole and Payton LeDuc were honored as WCHS Teenagers of the Month by the Fairbury Elks Lodge. We are proud of them and this recognition!
Students in Mrs. Michelle Bruna’s classes spent their first day back from break filling out graphs about themselves and setting goals for the new year. The sheets are available for viewing in the north hallway of the high school.
Congratulations to Carson Kearn, Makenna Elliott, and Jonathan Wright for receiving State Supervised Agricultural Experience Program Grants! These $500 grants are provided to FFA members to further develop their individual SAE projects. The grants that these students received are provided by the Kansas FFA Association and are sponsored by Harris Crop Insurance, Kansas Corn, and the Kansas Soybean Association.

WCES students went caroling (check out USD 108 FB Live video), drank hot chocolate (gift from Heather, Nurse Lisa, Mrs. Craig, and Mrs. Hoover), ate cookies (thanks to the generous donation from the Rod Stewart family), and watched a movie. We had a great day!
