Thanks to KDHE's Waste Tire Grant program and the Larry Ouellette Memorial, WCES was able to get started on an outdoor learning area. Over the summer we tore out dying bushes, leveled the ground, installed landscape cover and edging, and put in recycled tire rubber mulch. Using recycled tires for the mulch helps to keep tires from filling up landfills.

The WCHS football team traveled to Bennington and played with everything they had for 4 quarters and an overtime. There’s a lot to be proud of with this group of guys. They played extremely hard and stayed #tigerstrong WCHS 28 Bennington 34

4th graders are working hard on this Friday. In math they are mastering the standard of rounding numbers, in science they are beginning to learn about the building block late of life: cells, and in social studies we will discuss 9/11.
