WCHS Scholars Bowl Season came to an end this evening at the Regional Tournament in Frankfort. The Team had several highlights and close matches in a very tough pool of teams that have had consistently strong seasons. WCHS handed Blue Valley their only loss, and finished in a 3-team tiebreaker for 2nd place, going 4-2 overall. The two teams that had both won the rounds against WCHS, Frankfort and Onaga, were also in that tie with a 4-2 overall record. When it was all broken down, WCHS ended up 4th in our Pool and did not advance onto the finals round. Five seniors from this year's team will be lost to graduation including Joselyn Sanchez, Aviana Hertz, Amber Kolle, Leslie Martinez and Makenna Elliott. Regional Team members also included Sophomore Kelly Annunziato and Junior Jonathan Wright. Thank you all for an amazing experience this year in competitions and practice. I appreciate our senior's leadership and will miss working with them! Thanks for making my first year as Scholars Bowl Coach a great experience!
