4th grade field trip: 4th graders spent time in the Astro 3 Theater watching “Pippi Longstocking” and having a snack. We also got a tour of the theater. Did you know there is an old pool in the basement? We played and had a picnic in the park. We also went on a 2.5 mile walk on the Blue River Rail Trail where we saw the Big Blue River, a crane and 2 snakes. We finished the day with slushees from Casey’s! Thank you to PTO for payment for the movie and Astro 3 for having us.

Thank you to Washington County Farm Bureau and Ohlde Dairy for our mini field trip today for our 4th graders. We learned the process of maintaining a successful dairy with about 1500 cows that are milked 2-3 times a day. Ask your student what they learned!

Here is a big “Thank You” to the Milam family for donating one of the books written by Miss L’Ecuyer’s 2nd grade class. Our elementary students will enjoy it!

Miss L’Ecuyer’s second grade students became published authors in a book called “Animals Around Our World!” The students are very proud of their work and loved sharing their pictures and reading the stories that they wrote with their classmates and families.

8th Grade Agriculture students working on Floral Design! Not too shabby for their first day!

Thank you, Washington County Hospital!! The 5th and 6th grade got to visit today and had an awesome presentation from Diana Cecrle and some hospital administration! Thanks for sponsoring the music and PE classrooms!!!

4th graders dissected an owl pellet today. They found skulls, pelvic bones, teeth, jaws. Ask your student what they found. An owl pellet is something the owl regurgitates because it eats its food whole and it can’t all be digested!
