
Kindergarten students entertained the residents st Centennial Homestead this afternoon.



Third graders playing The Piggy Bank Game during a Junior Achievement lesson led by Rebecca Frerking and Denise O'Dea. Junior Achievement is a civics program being offered to our elementary classes and the "teachers" are community business leaders. Weekly lessons occur for 6-8 weeks during the fall.

Students are putting the finishing touches on the musical “Honk!” Join us for the production on Thursday evening or Sunday afternoon.

6th Grade Ambassadors gave Dr. Randy Watson, Kansas Commissioner of Education, and Deena Horst, Kansas State Board of Education Representative, a tour of the elementary school and showcased some of the terrific programs and events happening at WCES.


USD 108 Washington County students present to Dr. Randy Watson, Kansas Commissioner of Education and Ms. Deena Horst, state school board member, on all the great things that makes our district one of the best!



Rebekah Helget, LCNCK special ed director, is providing professional development to our JH/HS staff on Accommodations and Modifications.


Respectful is the "Be Tiger Strong" trait for October. These students were recognized for being wonderful examples of this trait.

These Kindergarteners are ready to scare you at our Halloween concert this Tuesday. Remember: students are encouraged to wear a costume, but if it covers their mouth or eyes that part will have to come off during the concert.


These 1st graders are sick with excitement for their upcoming Halloween Concert on Tuesday, October 30th at 7pm. Remember: K and 1 need to meet in their classroom at 6:45 already wearing their costume!!


Reminder that there is no school for students Friday, October 26 and Monday, October 29.

State Cross Country will be Saturday October 27 in Wamego


Washington County Varsity Scholars’ Bowl took 3rd place at the Beloit Tournament on Oct. 23. They won their pool with a record of 5-0 and then faced St. John’s in the semi-finals and lost 80 to 40. The Tigers went on to defeat Ellsworth in the consolation round to take third place. Southeast of Saline (who had previously lost to WCHS) took home first place by defeating St. John’s in the final. It was a great first outing for the Tigers.
