It's leaf bowl time!! 5th Grade Art students need to bring 2 or 3 leaves to art class on Thursday. It should be about the size of your hand. Maple leaves work great! Make sure it's not too brittle... if it's falling apart - find a fresher one.

The WHS Class of 2005 presents their 1st Ever TRIVIA NIGHT! Friday Nov 23 7-11pm in the FNB Basement. Proceeds go to Washington County Schools PTO. See the picture for more information.


The third graders took a virtual field trip to a Kansas Pork Production Farm today. They got to tour a pig farm and ask the farmers questions.

Kindergarten students entertained the residents st Centennial Homestead this afternoon.



Third graders playing The Piggy Bank Game during a Junior Achievement lesson led by Rebecca Frerking and Denise O'Dea. Junior Achievement is a civics program being offered to our elementary classes and the "teachers" are community business leaders. Weekly lessons occur for 6-8 weeks during the fall.

6th Grade Ambassadors gave Dr. Randy Watson, Kansas Commissioner of Education, and Deena Horst, Kansas State Board of Education Representative, a tour of the elementary school and showcased some of the terrific programs and events happening at WCES.
