National FCCLA Leadership Conference-Day 4 included more workshops and Knowledge Bowl Rounds. The final round was live at the General Session along with a fabulous fashion show! There were Advisor Round Table presentations as well. This evening was spent at Universal Studios along with 8,000 other National Delegates. The entire park shut down for us! There was another fabulous light and fireworks display with a water show. The technology and engineering involved is very impressive. Some more 1st time experiences included the theme park, Boba Tea, eating at Mel's Drive-In, and learning about movies, cars, and characters from famous movies.

A quick recap of the past two days at FCCLA National Leadership Conference. Saturday we arrived, registered, attend the Kansas State meeting, then the opening ceremony. We ate a late dinner, practiced and prepared for tomorrow and crashed after a LONG day. On Sunday, Rien competed and Mrs. Zabokrtsky judged STAR Events. We spent the evening at Sea World with the Kansas delegation. The drone and fireworks shows were amazing!

FBLA Nationals Day 3 The juniors, Alyssa, Jayden and Layla, competed in American Enterprise Project today, Mackenzie K, took her spreadsheet objective test and the group watched some speakers. We attended opening session last night while Alyssa performed her state officer duties, and we listened to the owner of Thrive Causemetics. A highlight of tonight was escaping a horror escape room with 2 minutes to spare. Yes, we all screamed and contributed.

We made it safe and sound to Anaheim, California, to compete at the national FBLA conference. Today, these 3 graduates compete in the application portion of their events. Josi Sanchez competes in Computer Applications, Mackenzie Kuhaneck in Spreadsheet Applications, and Mackensi Meier competes in Word Processing here at 8:30am. Yesterday, we arrived to avoid any travel issues and spent time in the Pacific Ocean at Huntington Beach. It was the first time to see the Pacific Ocean for 5 students. We want to say THANK YOU to everyone who purchased food at the track concession stands, bought food at our bake sale, the 9 local ball teams who ordered uniforms and the many other people who ordered apparel from our organization. You allow us to work for this and learn from all these experiences to make us better leaders and future community members.

Put your hands together for your 108 spirit squad! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 The Ruby Reds took gold overall in the band chant category. (Yes! FIRST, across all divisions, 13 schools.) In addition, the team earned runner up in the spirit (band chant, sideline, and cheer) category in the mid size squad division. #rubyreds108
