Makenna with some nice oak side tables she built. These turned out cool and if I remember correctly she made these off of plans that a family member of hers designed and made and were published in a 4H woodworking pamphlet. Good job, Makenna!

Colton with a nice set of farmhouse-style benches made out of dimensional lumber. These were made to complement the trestle table he built the year before. The burned look is popular and these turned out neat. Good job, Colton!

WCHS Boys start the 23-24 basketball season with a 54-42 win over Pike Valley. Senior, Austin Wurtz lead the team in scoring with 20 pts. Junior, Monte Huckett followed with 15 pts. Preparation begins tomorrow for Wakefield this Friday the 8th at WCHS! #BeTigerStrong

Students in Mrs. Bruna's personal finance class are starting a simulation where they take on the identity of a specific adult and plan a spending budget for their family. Some students are married, others are single, and some are single parents. Their income levels range from $10,000 to $89,000. Today, the students received their identities and are learning about their neighborhood.


JH High Boys took 2 of 3 from Clifton-Clyde. B & C Teams came out on top. The A-Team dropped the hard fought game. Down 8 at half, took the lead in the 4th qtr but couldn't hang on.

The Jr. High Lady Tigers headed to Clyde to play against the Clifton Clyde Lady Eagles. The A team won 29-24 after a hard fought game. The B team lost 19-11 but played well. The C team ladies fell just a little short.

Students in Mrs. Bruna's personal finance class have been spending the week teaching small sections of the investing chapter. Students have been learning about annuities, IRAs, Keogh plans and other retirement avenues.



Thank you FFA for allowing Tiger Designs to create your chapter shirt. Students learn teamwork skills, how to handle mistakes and other skills while making apparel. We hope to have a website soon where people can order our unique WC designs. We also make apparel for businesses.
