Hayden made a nice wall map of Europe for a wall hanging. He hand-burned it all with a wood-burning tool. Hayden will be going to Europe this summer and will mark the places he goes on his wooden map. Good job, Hayden!

Jonathan is the lathe meister, and he has logged many hours on the wood lathe, and it shows. Here he is pictured with a couple of quality bowls he turned. Good job, Jonathan!

Eli made a really cool set of coasters and an awesome cutting board out of exotic woods. He has padauk in his coasters, and has purpleheart and wenge in his cutting board. Exotic woods make some really unique projects. Good job, Eli!

Sean made a superb-quality chest out of walnut for his niece. I think it is really cool that he made a project for his niece that will last a lifetime. Good job, Sean!

Coy constructed a well-made shoe rack out of dimensional lumber and pine. He worked really hard, and it shows. Good job, Coy!

Hayden made a nice chair out of pine to match the desk he made earlier in the year. This farmhouse style is still very popular. Good job, Hayden!

Eli made a neat little keepsake box/jewelry box out of walnut and purpleheart. This is a great way to use up some of the small scraps. Good job, Eli!

Clayton made a pair of quality modern-style end tables out of hackberry. They turned out nice with the stain he chose. Good job, Clayton!

The Tiger boys also traveled to the Belleville Lions Club meet today. Gavyn continues to throw well in javelin and got second today. He also threw well in discus against some very tough competition. Tanner also jumped well in triple jump and came away with a third place medal. The 4x100 weight man's relay of Easton, Blake, Preston, and Gavyn defended our title and came away with gold!! Atticus has been working really hard and starting to figure out how to push himself. He had a good 1600 today getting back under 5 minutes. The boys competed hard and are getting closer on better technique every week. It is exciting to see all their hard work pay off. https://live.reddirtrunning.com/meets/69154

The WCHS Lady Tigers traveled to Belleville today to compete in the Belleville Lions Club Meet. This year we were in the upper division competing against larger schools. They competed hard and came away with some hardware and PR's. Alyssa didn't shy away from the bigger schools, she won both the 100 & 200 while setting PR's in both!! Anna won the 300 hurdles and got 2nd in the 100 hurdles. Brecklyn threw a PR in the javelin today as well. Nora ran a great 3200 today, dropping over 30 seconds off her time from last week. The Lady Tigers have been working hard and it's starting to really show. Keep up the good work!

Eli made a top-notch butcher block out of native oak he brought in. This will be great for cutting up smoked meats and wild game. Good job, Eli!

Madison constructed a well-made nightstand out of beech wood. Her partner in crime, Maggie, helped her along the way. Good job, Madison!

Jacob built a cool outdoor table made out of oak. He even freehand routered his last name and did a great job; it almost looks laser-engraved. To top off the design, he branded his family's brand into the tabletop. Good job, Jacob!

Anna built a nice modern-style shoe rack out of hackberry. This type of project could also be used as a TV stand. I really like hackberry finished naturally. Good job, Anna!
