Fun in Mrs. Baker's class with geoboards.

Mrs. Baker's class had guests from high school biology. They showed them a simple experiment with a chemical reaction. Elephant toothpaste was a hit!

The Kindergarten field trip was a little wet so we had to adjust our plans. We visited FNB Bank (Classrooms to Career sponsor), Ohlde Dairy, and KSDS. We had a picnic lunch in our classroom and finished the day with a movie and ice cream provided by United Bank & Trust (Classrooms to Career sponsor). One student declared it "the best day ever!"

First grade, rainy day, field trip fun!!

The fourth graders also visited the Topeka Zoo yesterday on our field trip. Thank you to the room parents that went along and PTO for paying our admission.

The 4th graders loved their first part of their field trip to the Kansas Capitol in Topeka. They learned some history of our historical building and about 1/2 of them made it the 296 steps to the top of the dome. Kansas has the 2nd highest peak in the nation on their Capitol building

A part of Business Essentials class is learning a little bit of accounting. Since Ava, Austin, Miles & Trista are in Accounting class, they are the leaders of the small groups. Having students teach other students breaks up the learning for everyone and helps the leaders learn some self confidence in the subject.

Fresh lettuce served in our lunchroom! The lettuce is grown in Mrs. McCall's high school science classroom as part of her Ag in the Classroom grant with KSU.
