Friday is the last day to preorder the 2023 Yearbook. Only a few extra are ordered each year so if you want to be guaranteed a book you need to purchase it now! Only $45. Take form and payment to the office or Mrs. Toole.


District Floriculture results saw the WCHS team place 3rd overall, with Makenna Elliott placing in 4th individually. Other team members include Mackensi Meier, McKenzie Baker, Addyson Goeckel, Jesse Hoover and Ryan Sawin. Great work Flori Team!

North Central District Livestock Results: Greenhand Team finished in third place overall, Highlights include Hayden Englert placing 6th, Lucas Thompson - 11th. Other team members include Joree Bentz, Jonathan Wright, and Gavyn LeDuc. The Senior Livestock Team placed 7th overall, and Colton Harlan led the team as the 6th high individual overall. Congratulations and good luck at state next week!

Washington County Greenhand Nursery/Landscape Team - 1st Place Team!
Highlights of the WCHS Greenhand competition include Alyssa Jueneman, 1st Place Individual, Gavyn LeDuc - 2nd, Madisyn Lohse - 3rd, and Brody Applegarth finished in 9th place. Great work Greenhands!


Congratulations to the WCHS FFA Nursery/Landscape Team, North Central District Champs! Highlights include Sarah Portenier, 1st place individual, William Svanda, 2nd Place individual (just 2 points behind Sarah). William posted the highest score on the overall tree and landscape plant identification portion of the district event by nearly 20 points. Triston Novak, who has been training with Sarah and William all spring, was ill the day of the event. All three will compete next week at the state competition in Manhattan. Good luck!


The Tiger golf team competed in Seneca today for the Centralia Invitational Varsity and JV meet. The Varsity had 5 of the 6 medaling and took home 2nd place with a 352. Tucker Huband won the JV portion with a 45. Good job tigers!

Junior high Tigers had our 5th meet today. Some are working towards and achieving PR's on our regular events. Some are trying new events and are finding out the coaches really do have a good idea of what events are best for them. All Tigers are working hard and giving full effort. The coaches are proud of them. Official results will be in athletic.net tomorrow. Team results have not been announced yet. We have 2 meets left. Friday we are home starting at 3:00 and Tuesday next week we are finishing up with the BVL meet at Valley Heights.











WCHS art students who received blue ribbons at our local Modern Pioneers art show this March showed their work at the state General Federated Women's Club art show this last weekend. These three students received blue ribbons on their pieces. Congratulations Ali, Jayden and Kady. Make sure to come see these pieces and all of the WCHS art student's work on Monday, May 8th.

WC Powerlifters competed in the State Powerlifting Champion at Claflin this morning. We left early so they could make it back for prom but they brought home some hardware AND Keirsten Tholstrup broke the state record in hang clean! 🐅💪🏻https://hyperlifter.com/results/meets/126








After our awesome performances yesterday at JH track, with the boys bringing home championships and the girls both placing 3rd, confidence was high. Today, We had a back bend contest which was won by Evan. Then they wanted to challenge Coach Jerry to a plank contest. Top 3 on the girls side was Rowley, Keira, and Brecklyn. Top 4 of on the boys side was Jacob, Gavin, Owen, and Chris. Jacob and Coach battled it out for 6 1/2 minutes. Ask them who won!

This group of WCHS art students went to Cloud County Community College's Art Day today. Students participated in workshops and competitions while their pieces were being judged. The sidewalk chalk took first place and received a trophy. WCHS art students brought home 3 medals, 2 blues, 4 reds, and 6 whites. Kady Toole brought home 3 best of category trophies. A good day!





Yesterday, students in Human Anatomy and Physiology conducted a simulated blood typing lab. No real blood was used.




Our Junior High track team is running fast, jumping far and high, and throwing far! It was a breezy and chilly day in Mankato, but we are bringing home lots of medals, PR's, both girls teams got 3rd place and both boys teams are CHAMPS of the HWY 36 Invitational.
