4th graders have leaned their new division strategy. They are working to master Partial Quotient strategy. Ask them to show you, it’s probably new to most adults too!

Thank you to Chet Kuplen for sharing your message on “Think Before You Post” today with our JHHS students. He covered a variety of topics on social media and the power it holds. The choice is yours about how you use it and create your reputation online. Thanks again for spending some time with us today. #betigerstrong

Hip Hip Hooray! It’s the 100th Day!!
We made it to the 100th Day of School!
We were busy tying all of our learning today around the number 100. Some examples of our work: reading 100 words, estimating around 100, 100 piece puzzles, and making a 100 Fruit Loop necklace.

Senior Kady Toole placed second in the Kansans As Talented As You Think portrait competition sponsored by the Native Sons and Daughters of Kansas organization. Nice work!

Have a great week! #BeTigerStrong

JH Boys come away with 2nd place in the BVL Tournament. It was not the game we had hoped for but they played their hearts out! Congratulations on a terrific season! Ended the season with a 12-3 record. #BeTigerStrong

We finished up learning about our great state of Kansas with a celebration on Friday. We made bread (Kansas is known as The Wheat State), had honey (the honeybee is the state insect), with a side of sunflower seeds (the sunflower is our state flower). The smell of baked bread filled the hall and we were eager to try it at the end of the day!

WCHS Boys fall to a great Troy Trojan team tonight 68-82. Down 38 pts at halftime. Never gave up, and cut it to 12 in the third quarter. One extremely proud coach! Never seen such determination! Keep working hard men! #BeTigerStrong

The Lady Tigers defeat Troy in one heck of a battle 47-42! Congrats, Coach Romo on 200 wins! You make us better everyday. #betigerstrong

Jaydon built a really awesome pull out trash can bin out of knotty pine with burnt top and a tin cattle brand insignia. The burnt edges around the cattle brand make it pop. Good job, Jaydon!

Carson has been working really hard and built a modern style Adirondack chair fairly quickly. His chair is knotty pine and he burnt the lumber for that rustic look. Good job, Carson!

Octavien with a neat dimensional lumber nightstand. He did a nice job on his project and it turned out really well.
