It was another successful day in Mankato for the WCHS Track team! Lots of improvement and PRs from the athletes. Lillee Richard got 9’3” in Pole Vault, Hunter Hill beat his own school record in the 400m, and the Girl’s team placed 2nd overall! ⚡️🐅💪🏻

State FFA Competition Results for Washington County FFA Chapter:
With more than 200 FFA Chapters in Kansas, WCHS FFA had some top finishers this year, and built a strong foundation for years to come with many more. Highlights are as follows:
Agronomy - 3rd Place Team, Brett Buhrman - 3rd, Jaydon Otott - 5th, Austin Wurtz and Joel Hoover. Floriculture - 22nd Place Team, Team was Jesse Hoover, Addi Goeckel, McKenzie Baker, Mackensi Meier, and Mckenna Elliott.
Vet Science - 54th Place Team, Michaela Jueneman - 9th Individual, Team members were Sarah Portenier, Tiffani Allerheiligen and Grayson Votipka. Livestock Team placed 32nd, Coy Stamm was just 11 points out of the top ten, Colton Harlan, Carson Kearn and Elizabeth Wright. Dairy Cattle Evaluation Team placed 18th, Team included Coy Stamm, Elizabeth Wright, Payton LeDuc, and Nicole Avila.

Last practice before May Fete. Hope to see you tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the high school.


Tomorrow (5/6/22) the high school track team will travel to Mankato for the Grizzly Invitational. Pole Vault starts at 2:30, Field Events at 3, and Running Events at 4:30 ⚡️🐅💪🏻

Dear K-4th Parents.
