Anale built a quality TV stand out of oak. This project has sliding barn-style doors and hardware kit. Good job, Anale!

Makenna built a cool farmhouse-style nightstand out of knotty pine. She did a nice job, and I like the way the gray paint and stain look together. Good job, Makenna!

Leslye built a quality dresser out of oak for her folks. She did a great job, and this was a great project to end her senior year with. Good job, Leslye!

Gavyn built a nice DVD rack/shelf out of oak. This was one of many projects that he built this past school year. Good job, Gavyn!

Anna made a beautiful kitchen island out of beech wood. She did a nice job, and I like the slotted boards on the bottom shelf. Good job, Anna!

New teacher orientation is off to a great start!

Hayden built a cool dual-purpose project out of dimensional lumber. He made an outdoor bench that also folds into a table. Good job, Hayden!

Kelly built a nice modern-style bed out of oak. This is a great example of a simple but functional piece of furniture. Good job, Kelly!

Jonathan built a quality live-edge walnut gun rack. He designed it himself and also used up some of the live-edge lumber we milled for students to use. Good job, Jonathan!

Amber built a nice tailgate bench out of cedar. This project is special because the tailgate came off a family member's old truck. Good job, Amber!

The Ruby Reds hosted a Junior High Cheer Camp today at the high school. What a fantastic way to spend a Friday!! Thank you to the Washington County, Linn, and Republic County squads for coming over. They learned two chants, a cheer, and a dance. In addition the Ruby Reds held jump and kick, motion technique, and team building courses. (Some Ruby Red members are missing from the picture.)

Cross Country...
There will be a signup for all interested athletes (grades 6-12) for cross country at enrollment. This does NOT mean that 6th graders are guaranteed to be on the team this year. We have to wait and see how many 7th and 8th graders sign up. If there are fewer than 14, 7th and 8th graders interested, then 6th graders will be allowed to participate. Coach Baker wants everyone interested to sign up so she has total numbers. A post will be made regarding eligibility after enrollment on Tuesday, August 29th. Reach out to Coach Baker if you have any questions.
