The high school cross country runners showed with grit, determination, and hard work, that even in adverse weather conditions we are Tiger Strong! It was rainy and sloppy, but the kids ran very well. Some ran faster than last year on this course, some ran PR's, and all gave great effort. Addy earned her right to be proud she finished the race and placed well and said, "I'm proud of myself, I didn't even walk today!" Thats what XC is about, making personal goals, reaching them, and being proud. Boys results: Atticus: 11th, medalist Lyle: 14th, medalist Coy: 47th Girls: 3rd place team, picture to be posted tomorrow. Nora: 8th, medalist Madison: 19th, medalist Addy, 25th Angel: 26th

Today Mr. Koster's 5th hour woods class and a few other students got to hear from Washington County alumnus, Thadd Tremblay. A great story of how a strong work ethic, pursuing opportunities, relationships, and self growth can lead someone on an amazing journey! Thank you for your time today, Thadd!

These 6 students in Applied Business Development class(Brianne, Layla, Alyssa, Jayden, Brody and Tucker) were responsible for the creation of 362 student shirts in the first 2 weeks of school. Thank you UBT for sponsoring our student and staff shirts and supporting FBLA and yearbook. At the high school level, the shirts are different colors to distinguish the classes for class wars.

The Cross Country team is tired of the summer heat, but knows that working through hard practices makes them tougher. Today they took a break from just " running" and did some relay Indian runs and played ultimate frisbee. Even on game day the mileage adds up quickly!

It was a pretty good night for the volleyball girls. The Varsity girls pushed Centralia in both sets, falling 25-19 and 25-23. Then the girls defeated Blue Valley in two sets 25-18 and 25-19. The atmosphere in the gym was awesome vs Blue Valley as the student section really got behind the girls! It really helps to play in front of a supportive group! Thank you so much!

They JV team also picked up a win vs Blue Valley in 3 sets after dropping the first match of the night to Centralia. It was a much needed win for the JV team.

Thank you all for coming out and supporting the girls!!!

🐾 Washington County Tigers Volleyball Update 🐾

Our Tigers hit the court against Blue Valley tonight and showed great steps forward from our last outing. While we didn’t come away with a win, the improvement in play, communication, and confidence was clear across all teams.

🔴 A Team: 16–25, 19–25
⚫ B Team: 14–25, 17–25
🔴 C Team: 23–25, 19–25

Every set was a battle, and our athletes are learning how to compete with more focus and determination each match. We’re proud of their progress and know that continued effort will keep moving us in the right direction.

Next up ➡️ Axtell Eagles on Thursday, September 18. Let’s keep building, Tigers! 🏐🐯
