Washington County High School is pleased to announce that graduating senior, Alyssa (AJ) Jensen, has been awarded the Hagan Scholarship. "The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship designed to help high achieving students from small towns and rural areas to graduate college debt-free. The scholarship provides up to $48,000 over four years to attend college. Recipients must enroll at an eligible four year not-for-profit college or university the first semester following high school graduation. In addition, free workshops, free Schwab brokerage accounts, and free travel/study abroad provide recipients with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum."
AJ is the daughter of Shana and Troy Jensen of Washington, Kansas. She plans to major in Early Childhood Development at Emporia State University.
USD 108 is so proud of you, AJ! #betigerstrong #thankyouhaganfoundation
