Thanks to Mr. John Kern the 5th graders have been conducting gemination experiments in the greenhouse. So excited to see what pops up! Sunflowers, cilantro, and poppys oh my!!!
Justin Dragastin of Dragastin Insurance came to our classroom today for our classroom to career program. The 6th graders made and designed their own tiny houses for a recent math project. Justin was kind enough to come in and tell them how much it would cost to insure their creations. Thank you Justin, for you wealth of knowledge and your help with this project. It has been a lot of fun!

The Junior High track team will travel to Mankato on Tuesday. Be sure your athlete brings a lunch/ snack, warm clothes, sunscreen, extra drinks. Go Tigers.

WCHS takes 2nd at League Forensics Meet.
WCHS competed in the League Forensics Tournament on Friday, April 9 at Hanover. The team took 11 students and had 16 event entries. Sweepstakes team placings were as follows: 1) Valley Heights 2) Washington County 3) Linn. Individual results were Duet Acting: 3rd Abi Sawin and Kady Toole; Humorous Solo 6th Laura Skupa; Impromptu Speaking 3rd Laura Skupa 4th Rachael Craig; Impromptu Duet Acting (IDA) 5th Mia Cardenas and Kady Toole; Informative Speaking 3rd Shai Zenger, 7th Rachael Craig; Poetry 2nd Shai Zenger, 5th Abi Sawin; Prose 1st Mia Cardenas, 3rd Alyssa Jensen
Also participating were Garrett Kohlmeyer in Prose, Poetry, Tiffani Allerheiligen in Prose, Alyssa Kern and Mandy Simmons in IDA.
WCHS is competing in league forensics today... have entries in 16 events and the following made finals: Abi and Shai in poetry, Shai and Rachael in informative speech, Abi and Kady in duet acting, Mia and Alyssa J in prose, Mia and Kady in improvised duet acting, Laura in Humorous solo and Laura and Racheal in impromptu speaking... watch for results soon.
Fantastic Play Last Night!! Congrats Cast and Crew!! Special thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting opening night of "The Play That Goes Wrong!" It was 70 minutes of non-stop laughter and fun! All invited for Sun, 4/11/21 at 2PM. Tickets sold at the door.

The Junior High track meet scheduled for today has been postponed until Thursday, April 15 with the same start times for all.
There will be NO junior high track practice today.
That means the Junior High will go to Mankato on Tuesday, April 13th and be home for this postponed meet on Thursday, April 15th.

Rainy and cool weather kept the junior high track team inside for practice. They had a great time playing “Squad Tag” and it was a great work out. It brought out their inner elementary self! Go Tigers!

WCHS Invitational Golf Tournament Results! Congrats to our Tigers for their 3rd place finish on Tues. 4/6/21. Kobe Hoover led the way with his 2nd place; Konner Gepner - 8th; Miles Miller 14th, Carson Kearn - 20th, Aidan Goeckel - 23rd and Cody Metz - 27th. Tiger Strong!
