The 5th graders studied balanced and unbalanced forces in Science and applied these concepts by building their own catapults! The kids did a great job and it was a lot of fun seeing what they came up with!

There will be NO hall decorating for homecoming today! It's been postponed for time being!

WCHS Lady Tigers TVL tournament schedule. The top two teams from each pool will play in the semifinals on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at WCHS.
Remember this is a ticketed event. Each teams tournament roster will receive tickets to distribute as they please. Both gyms will be live streamed. High gym will be streamed on NFHS. West Elementary gym will stream on Facebook Live.

This month, the Animal Science and Veterinary Science Class has also been focusing on livestock reproduction with some more amazing Labs at the Animal Health Center. We examined and dissected reproductive tracts for our first lab, and on Tuesday, we learned about palpation (preg checking) late-term cow pregnancies. Thank you Dr. Bentz and Staff!
We have had some amazing Veterinary Labs this past week for Animal Science and Veterinary Science Classes. Last week, at the Washington Veterinary Clinic, we learned about the detection and treatment of eye problems in mature cattle on Thursday, and returned the next day to learn about processing and vaccinating calves and replacement heifers on Friday. Thank you Dr. Stewart and Staff!
