The XC teams completed the "Tour de Morrowville" today. No Tour would be complete without treats from Grandma Jean, an upper classmen picture and team picture on the big swings. Making XC memories daily!

Apply KS is Oct. 7-9. Seniors at WCHS participated in this annual statewide campaign in which high schools designate time to help them apply to college with their peers. Students were able to work in our Library today!

Heads up: The XC team will be running Morrowville today! Give us a honk or a wave if you see us!

The play is still in need of some props ... thanks to those who have already helped! Here are a few of the things we need.
1. RC car - one like the picture is fine but any RC car will work.
2. Doctors bag - old fashioned bag with handles
3. Stick horse - large enough for adults
4. Tea set
Contact Erin Toole at etoole@usd108.org if you have any of these items.

When you completed a 3.1 mile race, it's hot, and you are at a lake, you celebrate by going for a swim. Many of our team celebrated that way today. This was planned by our 3 senior runners: Kenzie, Garrison, and Garrett. Our senior manager,Makenna, encouraged the idea today !Thanks again for the extra Tiger fans at Centralia Lake today. It makes running 3.1 miles a little more tolerable!

Our Tigers proved today they can run in the hot and wind at Centralia Lake. We appreciate the support of family and friends. Atticus was our top medalist at 15th, Garrison was 18th, Lucas was 54th, Garrett was 58th, and Ryan was 62nd. Next Saturday we have the Riley county meet with League the following week.

Kaylee Dayhuff a 7th grader here at WC had a fantastic day today at KU Horn day, held at Murphy Hall in Lawrence Kansas.
Kaylee was the 2nd youngest among horn enthusiasts to participate in the event. The event featured multiple activities including clinics, a massed horn choir, and even a couple competitions.
Participants were a variety of ages with the oldest today being 62.
Congratulations Kaylee on representing Washington County well.

A hot and windy day at Centralia Lake today for our XC teams. The girls ran smart races. Kenzie was our top medalist in 4th place. Nora was 24th, Addy was 36th, and Angel was 40th. Thanks to the families and friends that support our XC meet.

I got to watch our young tigers on the flag football field. Go Tigers. Great job today.

Another tough night of football. We were competitive in the first quarter, but depth and turnovers caused us to fall behind and lose the game 48-0. The kids played great and are getting better. We will take this loss and build off it as we continue the season.

Ms. Zoeller's class worked on main idea, summaries, picking out relevant details, and creating a poster to "teach" their class the main points in their section of "A Growing Nation" in social studies.
