Another tough loss to Mankato Rock Hills 56-6. The boys are improving and getting better. I believe this was our best effort of the year.
WCHS FFA Area State Land and Homesite Evaluation was last week at Beloit, WCHS had a great day overall. Highlights from Washington County Include: 3rd Place Team - Homesite Evaluation, Witt Keesecker - 6th, Rowley Keesecker - 8th Place. 4th Place Team - Land Judging, Rowley Keesecker - 6th, Kileab Willbrant - 8th Place. Great job everyone!
Land Judging senior members of these teams that will be lost to graduation include: Kileab Willbrant, McKenzie Baker, Elin Auer, and Amber Kolle.
The Kindergarten class enjoyed visiting the Washington Fire Station this week. Thanks to Justin Svanda for a great tour! We learned a lot and had fun!

Today, 10/11: no practice but all athletes need to do premeet workout
Tomorrow, 10/12: meet at Riley Co, leaving at 7 AM
Sunday: nothing- recovery day
Monday, 10/14: no school and no team practice for JH, but need to do a premeet workout. HS has practice at 3:30
Tuesday, 10/15: BVL meet for JH, HS is going too. Bus leaves at 1:45. The JH season is over after today!
Wednesday and Thursday, 10/16-17: HS normal practice
Thursday, 10/17: TVL meet at Onaga, departure time not determined yet.
JH athletes will need to turn in clean uniforms by 10/22. Bring them to Coach Baker's classroom with your name attached.

The Ruby Reds Fan of the Game recognition will continue tomorrow as the Tigers play on our home field. Our homecoming Fan of the Game was Glenda Keller! Her Tiger swag bag was sponsored by Mindy's Boutique.

On Tuesday the Senior class visited the county courthouse. The students learned about the different offices and also registered to vote in the upcoming election.

The fourth annual K-State Women in Business Career Summit
Monday, October 28, from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
This event is a great opportunity for high school students to explore careers in business and connect with the K-State community. The Summit, hosted by the Center for Principled Business, will take place at the K-State Student Union and Business Building.
Highlights of the day include:
• Morning keynote by Sheila Ellis-Glasper, K-State alumna and Founder and CEO, SEG Media Collective
• Luncheon keynote by Charlene Lake, K-State alumna and Chief Sustainability Officer and SVP at AT&T
• Workshop featuring K-State First Lady Sally Linton
• Breakout sessions designed to help students explore their post-high school plans
• Campus tours and activities hosted by current Women in Business student members
• Opportunities to connect with College of Business students
• Over $10,000 in scholarships for high school students (applicable for business education at K-State)
