The WCHS golf team went to Spring Creek golf course and competed. This was our largest tournament with multiple larger schools. We didn't come home with hardware, but we did have a good day and shot some good scores. Sixteen WCHS art students participated at the Cloud County Art Day on Friday, April 25. The group hung their work and then headed to workshops and competitions. The sidewalk chalk team came home with the first place trophy! Work was judged from all of our 33 art students with many pieces earning ribbons. Come to the WCHS art show on April 30th and see all their award-winning pieces.

Paramedic Paris and EMT Caroline brought the Washington City Ambulance to preschool! Students got to learn about when and how to contact the ambulance, what tools they might use and how they help! Thank you both!!

The WCHS Floriculture team won the Greenhand Division of the NC District Floriculture competition in Clay Center Last week in Clay Center. Zoe Sawin finished as the 1st place individual, Hayden Lohse placed 2nd, and Emma O'Rourke placed 3rd, sweeping the top three spots in the event with 52 students in the competition. Great work Flori Crew!

The WCHS FFA Nursery Landscape Team placed first in the NC District competition last week in Clay Center. The team took the top three spots in the senior division of the competition, with Tanner Baker placing 1st, William Svanda - 2nd, and Cayden Meadows - 3rd. In the Greenhand Division, the team placed 3rd overall, with Lincoln Baker placing 4th, Cayden Crump placing 7th, and Hayden Lohse placing 9th individually. Congratulations!
