Today our second grade students celebrated grandparents/grandfriends. The students sang a song and read a poem for their grandparents/grandfriends. Then everyone enjoyed cookies and lemonade.

JH Football played an 11-man game tonight vs. Valley Heights.
We lost 52-6. We took some positive steps forward. We're looking forward to move improvement vs Clifton-Clyde at Morrow Field next week.

🐾 Washington County Tigers Volleyball Update 🐾
The Tigers faced Valley Heights tonight and continue to make strides in different areas of their game.
🔴 A Team: showed improvement as always, though came up short. ⚫ B Team: battled hard, winning a set before falling in the match. 🔴 C Team: played tough but came up short.
We know there’s still plenty of room to grow, and each match gives us more opportunities to learn and adjust.
Next up ➡️ Hanover Invitational at Linn on Monday! A great chance to keep building and competing together.

Congrats goes out to these three girls for putting their names in the Washington County Volleyball record book on Tuesday night against Frankfort! Anna Goeckel set the school record for kills in a game with 23. The old record was 20 by Jesse Hoover. Jayden Laflen set the school record for assists for the third time this season. The old record was 22 by Ali Boyken. Jayden had 23 , and then 28 in earlier games this season, but upped the mark to 38 against Frankfort. Macie Gepner tied the school record with 25 digs in the contest. She is tied with Jesse Hoover.
Great job girls! And let's take those numbers higher!!!

XC isn't all about "just running". Today the team jogged to the park and played ball tag. This requires a lot of sprint muscles, but gets into endurance building, team bonding, strategy, and of course it's fun!

Pretty good night for the high school volleyball team. We opend the night with a tight 3 set win over Frankfort, then lost a 2 set match to a very good Linn squad. The JV girls lost two tight matches but showed some fight. We got better again tonight! Thanks to everyone who came over to cheer the girls on!
