Band Camp Day 3. We had a great early turn out, but director fail I forgot to get a good photo. We worked an hour room a break for our open house, and worked for another 1.5 hours. The kids are working so hard. Tonight was villains vs super heroes. Another family won the night! The Keesecker Twins as Green Goblin and Spider-Man swung away with the win. But again a close second was the Yungeberg kiddos! We had a great night. Hard to believe school starts tomorrow.

Thank you students and parents for joining us tonight for our Open House.!

WCES teachers are ready and excited to have students return to school tomorrow.

FCCLA provided childcare for our community Pickleball Club the past two weeks! We had a blast and the kids didn't want to go home! #Family #children #community #culture #wellness #support #involvement #leadership #service are just a few of the FCCLA topics we connected with. Thank you Pickleball Club and parents!

FCCLA officers held their annual retreat last week with a fun day at Urban Air! Team bonding, Officer duties and goals, and discussing and planning events for the year took place. It was a very productive day!

FBLA officers spent Tuesday evening on a small retreat to Manhattan to bond and plan activities for the year. Although we didn't make it out of the escape room, we enjoyed the experience.

Day Two: TieDye "Two"sday: the Neon and TyeDye outfits were fire tonight!! Winners for tonight was another family duo. Lyle and Wisteria knocked it out of the park. Close second places were the Yungeberg family, Jonah and Charlie. I am so happy the kids have dug in and are doing the work! This group of Junior high kids are some of the best I have seen! Once time around the track and they didn't miss a step! So good, so willing to learn! And our High School students are going to be the best leaders. We started rehearsal with a song that KSU opens with...and our junior high kids played it!! Then they stepped out and marched. WOW! Then you add in our High school crew! What a sound! I won't lie when I say when we get everyone together I can't wait to hear what they will produce. We also did a leadership workshop tonight, and our kids stepped up. There might have been a few bumps but it turns out they work well when given a challenge. We made shapes, letters, lines and arches. And we have some flag uniforms that will be making a debut...and we might even let the ladies throw in a little attitude!
All in all it was a great night! Excited for a night 3 !
PS...Don't miss our first show! It will be spectacular!
