School Lunch Menus changes for next week (Aug 28 & 29)

Being a student athlete is hard sometimes. It's especially hard when the first full week of school you are also involved in a sport that is practicing at 6:30 in the morning because of the heat. Our student athletes are also involved in other clubs, activities, work, and life as a kid. These Cross Country kids did great this week. Our attendance was great and effort was even better. Coaches are proud and kids you should be proud too. #tigerstrong #effortbuildsexcellence

🎉💜 FAN FRIDAY 💚🎉 On Saturday the Cats take on Iowa State in Ireland. JH and HS students are encouraged to wear K-State gear or their favorite team’s colors to school on Friday. Green and Purple beaded necklaces will be passed out. *I hear there is another team from Kansas playing that day but I haven’t heard much about it*

USD 108 will have a 2 hour late start on Friday, August 29. Buses will run 2 hours late. No breakfast will be served.

THE REASON WHY: On Wednesday August 20, the City of Washington experienced an issue at the power plant. A repair crew will be in Washington on Friday, August 29 to fix this issue. Part of the City of Washington - INCLUDING THE SCHOOLS - will be affected with no electricity for part of the morning.

H O T!! The weather app said it felt like 102 degrees at 6pm last night as these FBLA girls began babysitting for the pickleball league. They watched 13 kids including babies and kept their cool during crying jags. They are some special young ladies and were appreciated by all.

JH Football Players need to bring both game jerseys to practice on Tuesday! The team had a great first practice despite the heat! Effort Builds Excellence!

Because of anticipated hot weather, JH and HS Cross Country will practice at 6:30 AM this rest of this week. This is for the safety of the athletes and to avoid KSHSAA's heat modifications in the afternoons. There will be NO afternoon practices, only 6:30 AM practice this week. Also, athletes were sent home with their contract which needs returned and the information to get on SportsYou the app we will use for communication and reminders.

Tiger Band will be on the front of the shirt and Live Life Loud will be on the back. Shirts will be black. Turn order forms into Mrs. Michelle Bruna by Thursday, Aug 21 for pickup by Aug 28. Orders after the 21st will be available at a later date. Money must accompany form.

2025 Tiger Football Schedule

Band Camp 2025 is a wrap! What a fantastic turnout for our first ever camp. Love the heart and soul the kids brought this week. Long days were so worth it. I can't wait to dive into a full week with everyone. Today's theme was Teachin' and Beachin'. Kids worked hard all week and we finished the sessions off with a littler water balloon fun. The first group with junior high I didn't get good photos of, it they played a game of battleship, had some popsicles learned two new songs, and hand some pure sugar goodness. Then the high school kids finished off the night "A rock"in the night away, and of course had to get in a little water ballon fight of their own. I am so thankful for a group of kids willing to spend their Friday night with me!!
