IT'S GO TIME FOR ALL THE WCHS TRACKSTER TIGERS!!! Good luck to all the Tigers today and tomorrow. We are proud of you.

We have some Tiger golf medalists! Great job! These young men played so well; it was such a blast seeing them compete both days and not give up. We placed 4th as a team and ran into a buzz saw of schools that played very well. Earning state medals were Grayson Votipka (T-12th) and Tucker Huband (17th). Finishing outside of the top 20 were Braylen Meier (T-24th) and Monte Huckett (28th), Noah Hoover (42nd), and Mayze Miller (43rd). All of these golfers should be so proud! I am so proud of these young men, growing up, learning how to deal with adversity, ups, and downs along the way in our 5-6 hour rounds, playing in the rain, wind, or cold, or all 3. All these aspects change how the ball flies and travels, and they have to adjust. It’s difficult to bring your best each and every tournament; some days, we have those off days, and we have to bounce back. This group fits this to a T all year. Every tournament, they showed up and found a way to score. It was a different 4 boys scoring every tournament; they picked each other up when one was off that day. These seniors were freshmen when I started coaching, and they are going to be big shoes to fill! So proud of how they represented us and our school. Grayson, Monte, Will, and Anthony, thanks for being leaders and being coachable; you guys all have very bright futures ahead of you. Also, I want to say thank you to Ryan Huckett for stepping in when needed and helping get to and from the tournaments! Now you younger guys, next year starts now—reps, reps, reps. Congrats to you Tiger Golfers! A great way to end a fantastic season!

We have 3 more Tigers that punched tickets for state. These 3 got in on the next 4 best performances in their respective events. Macie Gepner in pole vault with a vault of 8'6". Tanner Baker in triple jump with a jump of 41'.25". Kenzie Baker in triple jump with a jump of 33'4". That puts us with a grand total of 6 girl and 3 boy qualifiers!!! On to state to give it our all!!! Great job and good luck!

Keira built a nice modern-style nightstand with a touch of the farmhouse paint/stain combo. It is constructed out of beech wood. Correl modeled Keira's project for her on this particular day. Good job, Keira!

Emiliano built a nice cabinet out of oak. You could use this as a hallway table or even a TV stand. This is a very versatile size and style of project. Good job, Emiliano!

Dawson built a collaboration project between the metal and wood shops. He made a neat wagon wheel bench out of live-edge elm, and you guessed it, wagon wheels! Good job, Dawson!

The WCHS Tiger tracksters had a long day yesterday competing at 1A Regionals at Royal Valley. The bus left the school at 9am and we pulled back in at 2am!!! Although it was a long day the Tigers came ready to compete. On top of the tickets punched and other PR's posted yesterday, Eli PR'd in the 200 with a time of 24.2 and Nora PR'd in the 3200 with a time of 15:01. Everyone competed hard and we are proud. Thank you to all of the fans that came and supported us yesterday as well. Your presence and cheering does not go unnoticed, we have a good following of great fans! On to state next week!!
