Tigers competed at the Solomon golf tournament in Salina yesterday. The kids played well in windy conditions. I was very happy with how we did as a whole. We took 3rd overall with a 371. Carson Kearn and Grayson Votipka both shot 90 which tied for 8th.

Filling the Gap is a food assistance program provide in our NCK counties each year from early June to mid-August. This program for youth (ages 1-18) in low-income families (i.e., households that are below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines). In Washington County, we partner with Konza United Way, Washington’s Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and the Courtland Depot Market to provide children with 10 weeks worth of free, nutritious, and shelf-stable sack breakfast and lunch weekday meals throughout the summer when food can be scarce due to school being out of session. These meals are delivered directly to the home on a once-a-week basis.
Limited availability per site, based on a first come, first served basis for those who qualify. When applying for Filling the Gap Program, applications are accepted online at

Applications are due by March 28. Dates and locations of distribution will be announced prior to the end of the school year.

World Autism Awareness Day
Joined by the international community, hundreds of thousands of landmarks, buildings, homes, and communities around the world come together on April 2nd, World Autism Awareness Day, to Light It Up Blue in recognition of people with autism and those who love and support them. We do not have school on April 2nd so our school district will Light It Up Blue on Wednesday, April 3rd.


What do you do when it's 38 degrees outside so it's too cold to practice outside , you have 80+ kids out for track in HS and JH together, and only 1 gym available? You practice together of course! Stretch, warm up, and play alligator tag and tunnel tag with high school doing some extra jumping and relays, is what practice consisted of today: Good hard workout, fun, and good role models!#Tigerstrong
