Justin Dragstin from Dragastin insurance came to visit Mrs. Bruna's classroom to teach them a bit about insurance. Through our Classroom to Careers Program, our classroom recieved funds to support our electricity unit in science. The kids were excited to show Justin what we were able to get and he enjoyed working with the kids as well!!! Thanks again Justin, for the batteries and the electric city kit! I think we definitely have some electricians on our hands!!!

Riley Moore came to school and talked to kids about electricity and his job as a lineman. The kids loved it and it helped them relate our Science electricity unit to the real world!

A big thank you to Jake Pannbacker of Pannbacker Farms for sponsoring Ms. Myers' 4th grade class. He spoke to the class about the many hats worn by farmers and all the different jobs that have to be done. Thank you so much.

A big day in First Grade...
In our Knowledge Unit in ELA we have been learning about "Different Lands, Similar Stories"--fables and fairy tales from around the world. We compared fables from Botswana to Ireland. The last two were from Germany (The Gingerbread Man) and Ukraine (The Mitten). To end the unit we made gingerbread houses and met a real life family of hedgehogs (native to Europe). Thank you to the Wright family for sharing the hedgehogs!
