USD 108 will have a 2 hour late start on Wednesday, January 8. This will allow our bus drivers and riders and our student drivers to be able to come to school in daylight. No breakfast served and no morning preschool. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this first snow blizzard of 2025!

Thursday evening was a night to remember. Our 7th-12th grade Music Students put on a fantastic show entertaining the entire crowd for a solid 60 minutes. The kids had a great time and are so thankful for all who attended. If you missed the show please go back and watch the livestream. It is well worth your viewing time. Here are just a few highlights. We even were graced with the presence of A Hippopotamus, a Viking, and the Big Man himself.

Tiger boys lost to Hanover tonight, 33-81. The boys put a few things together to build on. We come back from break to face Axtell in two weeks.

WCES had a Crazy Christmas challenge for the staff. Winner of the ugliest sweater was Tammy Gano. The shiniest/brightest winner was Traci Turner. The best Christmas outfit went to Rayna Shaw. It was hard to pick the winner because the staff did a great job participating in this challenge.

Crazy Christmas (Part 2) - After caroling and hot chocolate, the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students were able to pick from one of the following options: a movie, board games, dodge ball, or shooting baskets. The 6th grade students created activities for the Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students. They did a fabulous job with Santa's Sleigh Ride, Snowball Bowling, Santa Says, and Xmas Bingo. I think everyone had a great time yesterday.

Mrs. Walter's second grade had a great last day before Winter Break. We enjoyed cookies, hot chocolate, a movie, games, and opening gifts. We also had a special visit from Santa.

Mrs. Baker's class had a terrific last day of school for 2024. We had donuts for breakfast, celebrated a birthday, watched a movie, caroled down town, snacked, played Bean-boozled, and had an extra long recess because it was so nice outside. These kids are great and deserve their winter break. We will be ready for more learning in 2025!

What a great job these two did creating craft stick snowman ornaments during afternoon activity time.

Crazy Christmas at WCES started with caroling. Thank you to Jenna Stevenson for preparing our students for this event. After caroling the students were treated to hot chocolate from the office staff.
