Ten members of the WCHS Forensics team competed in the league tournament hosted at Centralia on Wednesday. The team took second overall and came home with many medals. Aviana and Josi placed 1st in Duet, Garrett placed 2nd in Humorous Solo and 4th in Impromptu Speech, Garrett and Aviana placed 5th in IDA, Makenna placed 5th in Humorous Solo, Mao placed 4th in Prose and 5th in Extemp, Kelly placed 5th in Prose and 4th in Extempt, Trista placed 3rd in Original Oration and Poetry. Angel placed 5th in Impromptu speaking, Charley and Cayden competed in Prose and helped the team out by filling in for events. Overall it was a good day for the forensics team!


We had a fun April birthday lunch with family and friends.

Tiger golf team had a great tournament today at Cedar Hills Golf Course. Tigers placed 2nd with a 379 on this windy, chilly day. I feel we can approve our team score by the end of the year and working toward that.

*Our JH track meet that was postponed last week due to weather has been rescheduled for Monday, April 15th with a 3:00 start.
* JH meet this week is Thursday, April 4th with a 3:00 start for field events. Hanover hosts, but it's at Washington.

Tomorrow's April 2nd HS Golf meet at Cedar Hills Golf Course has been moved from 3:00pm to 2:30pm start time. This change is due to the number of athletes entered to compete. Go Tigers!

Reminder for HS Track athletes: We will have track practice today(4/1) and tomorrow (4/2) at 3:25pm even though there will be no school in session

These WCHS students are completing a quantitative lab in chemistry class. They will use the data to calculate theoretical yield. Then the actual yield they get from filtration will give them the numbers needed to calculate percent yield.




There will be no Open Gym today (03/31/24). Happy Easter!

Tigers competed at the Solomon golf tournament in Salina yesterday. The kids played well in windy conditions. I was very happy with how we did as a whole. We took 3rd overall with a 371. Carson Kearn and Grayson Votipka both shot 90 which tied for 8th.
