USD 108 has an opening for a 1st Grade TEACHER AIDE for the 2023-2024 school year. This job will begin on Aug. 14 and continue on school days though the school year. The teacher aide will be expected to work around 36 hours a week.

TEACHER'S AIDE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
**Prepare materials for lessons, demonstrations, and bulletin boards
**Operate equipment including computers, printers, photocopiers, and laminators
**Ensure that students have all materials necessary for class activities
**Work with students individually or in small groups
**Coordinate with classroom teachers to determine daily tasks
**Supervise students in various settings including classrooms, playgrounds, lunchroom, and field trips
**Enforce school rules and policies
**Attend staff meetings
TEACHER'S AIDE REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
**High school diploma or GED required
**Written and spoken communication skills
**Strong collaboration skills; able to work well with others
The Learning Cooperative of North Central Kansas has an opening for a full time Special Education Paraeducator at Washington County Elementary School for the 2023-2024 school year to work with certified staff to educate children. It was an incredible 2 days at the Kansas State Track and Field Championships for the Washington County Tiger Track teams this weekend in Wichita! We had 10 podium appearances, 3 state championship performances, 6 Washington County records broken, and 1 team State Championship! On Friday Payton LeDuc and Jesse Hoover both competed in the javelin. Payton placed 6th in 1A, his 3rd time competing at state in the javelin to end his high school career. Jesse threw well in a very tough field and ended up 4th place in the state with a throw of 129’4”. The girls 4x100 relay of Tholstrup, Hoover, Goeckel, and Alyssa Jueneman just missed out on finals placing 11th in the state. Saturday started off with 2 state championship performances by Addy Goeckel and Lillee Richard. Addy Goeckel won the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.42 which set a new school record. Not long after Lillee Richard won the pole vault going 10’6” setting a new school record by 3”. Kiersten Tholstrup was next in 2 different sprints. She ran a new school record of 60.35 seconds in the 400m and got 2nd in the state. Then, she ran the 200m and got 5th in the state with a time of 27.72. McKenzie Baker ran the 800m with some really great runners, but she fought her way to 7th place and set a new school record in the process(2:27.94). In the final race of the meet, the girls relay team of Tholstrup, Hoover, Baker, and Goeckel, got 3rd place in the state, setting a new school record in the 4x400m relay(4:12.10)! That final race clinched the 1A overall team championship by 4 points over South Gray, the first girl’s track championship since 1997! It has been a blessing to see all the tiger success this season, and we expect more moving forward! #FinishedIt #BeTigerStrong
