I am so proud of these students!! First time competing in FCCLA STAR Events and they made it to Nationals!!
Garrison -- Gold Medal-Repurpose and Redesign Level 3!
Angel-- Silver Medal-Professional Presentation Level 2! Congratulations!!! Seattle was great but looking forward to home.

Culture and sightseeing was part of our day today at FCCLA National Leadership Conference. The city has beautiful artwork. The Pike Market was quite an experience-- Fish throwing, artwork, shops of just about everything and lots of cuisine choices. We couldn't miss the Space Needle and the views of the harbor are fantastic.

FCCLA had another packed day at the National Leadership Conference in Seattle. Both Angel and Garrison competed today. Mrs. Zabokrtsky judged and Garret met with other Kansas District Presidents. There was also workshops and the expo. The evening was spent at the pier and the Kansas event at the aquarium.

Reminder: NCK Skills Basketball will be in Washington July 8th and 9th. Grades 2-8 girls and boys. Sessions have been changed to one session each day from 1:30pm-3:30pm. You can still sign up! Don't miss out!

FCCLA had a busy day at workshops, youth and adviser sessions, packing meals for a service project, the expo (the Army recruiters were impressed with the push-up skills), state pin trading(Garrison is a pro), a delicious Italian dinner, and general session.
We look forward to the students competing tomorrow. Wish them luck!

The Sooner The Better!

The 2024 FCCLA National Conference has been a whirlwind so far. After a very early (late night) departure, we are in Seattle, experiencing this city for the first time for all of us, the first time flying, experiencing public rail service, the conference and the Cheesecake Factory for some of us. Mt St Helen's and Mt Ranier are beautiful. And it's 70 degrees. We love it! Today, we had state meetings, the opening general session, and practice. Attached are some photos from our first day.

Just a few photos from our first 2 days at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Orlando. We have experience many firsts for the students--first plane ride, first taxi, first time in an ocean, and first escape room ( which we solved with 5 minutes to spare--solve rate was 15%). Tomorrow(Sunday) is when the students all compete. Send them good thoughts and prayers for a successful day. We also get to attend workshops and an expo. We plan to post more tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who purchased at our concession stands, bake sale, and shirt sales. We couldn't be here without your support!

Due to the amount of campers signed up for attendance, the NCK Washington Basketball Skills Camp will now be two days only, July 8th and 9th from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. All grades both boys and girls, will be together at this time in one session.

The Summer League Volleyball Brackets are here! 🌞🔥
Check out the matchups and get ready for an action-packed night of intense spikes, killer serves, and epic rallies.✨
Date: Tuesday, 6/25
Time: 5:00 pm-10:00 pm
Come and cheer on your favorite teams and players!

Reminder: July 8-10 NCK Skills Academy will be hosting a 2nd-12th grade skills basketball camp in Washington. Sign up instructions are on the attachments. Don't miss out! #BeTigerStrong

Spirit night tonight at camp. We're in our "Princess Era" with Prince Aladdin, Natalya received the pin it forward award, and we built a new pyramid with a braced one man extension!💪🏼Our camp dance earned a blue ribbon and we will share it with you at Meet the Tigers in August!

The Ruby Reds had sideline and crowd leading evaluations tonight🥁🥁🥁 ... and earned a BLUE! We're tied for the smallest school here but representing 108 well!
Our two freshmen, Hayman and Rowley, entered the jump off contest. Rowley made it to the second round! 🙌🏼
We have another full day tomorrow and big evaluation Friday before we head home. ❤️🖤🤍 Go tigers!!

The BACK TO BACK 1A Girl's State track champs were recognized at the June 17 BOE meeting. Octavien was also a state track placer in Discus and was recognized as well. We are so proud of all of these athletes!
